Twitter Chat #Professional (?)

I love when life throws you a good curveball. No matter how much thought, planning, and preparation you put into something, inevitably it doesn't always work out the way you thought it might. Such is the case for my first official Twitter chat experience. I carefully planned out to join the #edchat on Tuesday night at 7 EST. However, when 7 o'clock rolled around and I went to take place in the actual chat, I was disappointed to find it wasn't what I expected it to be. Unlike the original format we were shown in class, with a moderator posing clear, numbered questions - to which we provided clear numbered responses; this #edchat was just one question. There were no numbers or others answering. I got one like and a new follower from an art educator at Albright College, but that was the extent of my twitter chat experience. I was hoping to get a richer experience and be able to interact with more educators. This lead me to think that maybe some weeks just aren't as popular as others. Nonetheless, it made me a little envious of my fellow classmates who were able to participate in #edtechchat the night before. It's definitely not a matter of me not understanding how to navigate Twitter. Admittedly, I spend most of my screen time browsing through my personal twitter, I just found myself picking a chat that wasn't as active as the others.
The question posed to the chat tonight was by Mark E. Weston Ph.D. (@ShiftParadigm) being "what is the role of school leadership in professional development"? I interpreted this question as, how can administrators facilitate PD for their teachers? My answer is in the picture below. I tried to make my response as thorough and concise as possible. You do feel some pressure trying to make your tweet sound as professional as possible, while staying in the word count confine. Twitter chats are still new to me, but I am interested in them and hope to participate in a more active one soon. Not only do I think they help develop your professional brand, but I also like the idea of connecting with other educators around the country through this medium.
